The New Justice League Roster Is Unexpected – in a Good Way

Justice League Unlimited #1 Variant Cover by Howard Porter

Justice League Unlimited 1 Porter Variant Cover: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Kid Flash, Swamp Thing, Spectre, and Beast Boy stand together in front of the Watchtower

Howard Porter’s epic artwork showcases an unexpected group of characters facing a threat outside the iconic Watchtower. This team includes Justice League mainstays Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, but the most interesting picks are the ones behind them: Kid Flash, Swamp Thing, Beast Boy, and the Spectre. These underrated heroes don’t typically make the cut in the Justice League, so their inclusion here is a welcome surprise. Because this Justice League roster incorporates the entire DC Universe as opposed to being limited to a select few, unexpected additions like this are possible.
