DC Ushers in a Bold New Era in Expanded Preview of JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED #1
DC’s All In publishing initiative has launched to great sales and critical acclaim, introducing an all-new universe of Absolute titles and new jumping-on points for fans in the core DC universe. One of the most highly anticipated additions to the core DC line is the return of the Justice League, and today DC has released artwork from the debut issue of Justice League Unlimited #1, (on sale Wednesday, November 27) by series artist Dan Mora with colors by Tamra Bonvillain.
Written by Mark Waid (Absolute Power, Action Comics, Batman/Superman: World’s Finest), this series reunites and expands the team of the World’s Greatest Super Heroes, who are ready to take on any and every threat from across the galaxy.
However, in the wake of Absolute Power and the DC All In Special, this massive gathering of heroes hasn’t gone unnoticed. Darkseid’s destruction in the DC All In Special has resulted in a new threat, one that only the Justice League can face.
Announced at New York Comic Con, Justice League Unlimited #1 also features an exclusive four-page prelude to Hush 2, by the original Batman: Hush team of Jeph Loeb, Jim Lee, Scott Williams, and Alex Sinclair. This is the only place where fans will be able to get an introduction to the sequel to one of the most celebratedBatman stories ever, before the Hush 2 saga begins in the pages of Batman #158, available March 2025.
Here’s a look at each of the cover designs:
In addition to a main cover by series artist Dan Mora, Justice League Unlimited #1 features variant covers from comics’ most popular and talented artists, including Andy Kubert, Dave Wilkins, Yasmine Putri, and Howard Porter; wraparound variant covers by Edwin Galmon, Ed Benes (with Sandra Hope and Alex Sinclair) and Daniel Sampere; plus two variant covers by Jim Lee, Scott Williams, and Alex Sinclair, one of which spotlights the Hush 2 prelude.
